‘Being an Archaeologist for a Day’ workshop at Clare Museum

Transition Year students from Colaiste Mhuire, Ennis, engaged in ‘Being an Archaeologist for a day’ activities at Clare Museum. At this workshop students learn to excavate, record and describe their finds under the supervision of a professional archaeologist. This experience informs the students about the profession at a time when they are still deciding the academic route they will take at university or other third level college. The final workshop for this term will take place on Thursday, 16th May, and is already fully subscribed. However, Transition Year co-ordinators interested in booking their TY classes into future workshops should contact John Rattigan, Museum Curator at 065-6823382.
